The Chairperson of the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory including eastern Jerusalem and Israel, Dr Navi Pillay, says she believes that the International Court of Justice Judges will not be influenced by the States they come from when making a ruling on the South Africa/Israel case that is before the world court.
South Africa is seeking provisional measures that will lead to Israel halting its bombardment of Gaza. The UN commission on the Palestine territory settlement will visit South Africa before the end of the month.
SABC International News Editor Sophie Mokoena spoke to Dr Pillay about the work of the commission and matters before the ICJ.
